I am a mother of two young monsters… I mean children, a wife, a health enthusiast interested in all things holistic health and I have been a marketer for the last twenty years.
Ever since spending time on maternity leave with my second child, I developed a strong passion for finding ways to de-stress our lives. True health means looking at all aspects of your life. It's about finding yourself and even more so it's about perspective. I love making time for looking at our stressors in life - small or big - and working on better solutions for my family and myself.
Changing your life is possible
After decades in the professional service industry, I found myself longing for more. My passion for this job was long gone and I noticed how it affected my well-being and overall mental and physical health. So I asked myself: What is it really that interests me? What brings me joy? As a life long learner, I always want to learn more about natural solutions, detoxifying our homes and bodies and the ugly truth about today’s food sources and ingredients and so it all began… I enrolled in nutrition school. And the rest is history.
Fast forward to today, I am a certified Holistic Nutritionist and graduated with First Class Honours from The Institute of Holistic Nutrition. I am also a Certified Culinary Nutrition Expert (with Honours) with the Academy of Culinary Nutrition and a Functional Nutrition Coach. I focus my time on what I believe is crucial to succeed in our fast-paced, high stress business environment: making our health top priority and educating about holistic health options. My business background gives me the integrity and professionalism to understand the corporate environment and its effect on our personal life whereas my nutritional knowledge provides the necessary support to make a difference in what's really important - our health - and to give you the tools to stay on top of your game.
I don’t believe in one size fits all. We all have different backgrounds, different upbringings, different resources available to us. Making healthy choices should not only be an option for the people who can afford buying themselves services that support their goal in getting better. Therefore, I believe that focusing on REAL food the majority of the time (80:20 rule!) is what will get you to achieve your goals. There will always be diet trends and fads out there, but what it really comes down to is to understand what feeds your body versus what poisons it. Paying attention to ingredient labels, understanding where your food comes from and knowing how to make healthy choices, is key for long term success.
